The Reverend Carolyn McAvoy Interim Minister
Carolyn discerned a call to ministry and graduated from Knox College in 1989. She began her full-time ministry in Brussels, ON.
After eight years of settled ministry, in 1997, Carolyn McAvoy moved into a newer ministry to our denomination: interim ministry. She trained with the Interim Ministry Network and developed When the Pulpit is Vacant: Ministry in the Interim.
She loves to cook gourmet meals for friends and family, travel and see new places, and enjoys her own backyard getaway in Mississauga, ON.

The Reverend Sandy Fryfogel Director
of Pastoral Care
Sandy studied at Waterloo Lutheran University and Knox College prior to
being ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament. Sandy began as our Director of
Pastoral Care in the Fall of 2007 following ministries in Mississauga, Orillia, and
Hamilton. Sandy has completed the practical training for an institutional chaplain and is
employed part-time by Kensington Gardens as their Pastoral Care Coordinator. Sandy and his
wife, Sarah, have three children, James, Helen, and Sebastian. |

Diana Loach Director of Children's Ministries
Diana grew up in a Presbyterian minister's family. She has always had a passion for
quality Children's ministry, is thrilled to be working with the children and families at
St. Giles. Diana is married to The Rev. Dr. Jeff Loach, the District Director for Central
Ontario District of the Canadian Bible Society.

Ms. Ran Kim Director of Music
Ran began as our Director of Music on March 14, 2004. After completing her studies
at the Presbyterian Seminary in Korea, Ran moved to Canada where she studied organ at
McGill University, Montreal, and the Glenn Gould School, Toronto. During the week Ran is a
regular guest performer at the Yorkminster Park Baptist Church noon hour organ recital
series. In the short time Ran has been with St. Giles Kingsway she has proven herself to
be a gifted musician and superb teacher. Married to András Weber, a professional cellist,
they have a son, Emmanuel. |

Mrs. Heather Carver Administrative Assistant
Heather has been with the congregation almost from its inception. Married
with three children, both Heather and her spouse are elders to this congregation. Heather
has proved herself to be a leader and a guide to the many folk who come into the offices
at the church. |
