Reverend Tim Bruneau - Lead Pastor

Tim grew up in a Christian family in Grimsby, Ontario where he attended Cheyne Presbyterian Church. He completed his B.A. at the University of Guelph in 1999 and, after discerning a call to ministry, entered Presbyterian College/McGill University.

After graduating in 2004, Tim married Kelly and they moved to New Westminster, B.C. to serve at First Presbyterian Church.

Since coming to St. Giles Kingsway in 2012, Tim focuses on teaching from the Bible and reaching out so that our church doors are open to all people.

Tim and his wife Kelly have four daughters - two in highschool & two in middle school. Kelly teaches as an adult educator. They are so thankful to be in this beautiful neighbourhood and community of faith.

Dr Clark Shaufele - Director of Music

Alberta-born pianist Calrk Schaufele received his Doctorate in Music (Piano Performance) degree at the Universite de Montreal under the guidance of Canadian pianist and educator, Paul Stewart. Clark enjoys a multi-faceted career, spanning genres beyond classical piano - on both the keyboards and the double bass. He has been involved in many performances, tours, and studio recordings, ranging from classical and jazz to country and folk. Dedicated to fostering his local community, he has performed across the country in series such as Gusin House, Ranva House, Regina Musical Club, Concerts in Care, and the Hands Across series, as well as the Stratford, Ritornello, and Orlando Festivals.

Music service has been a long-standing part of Clark’s ife, ranging from playing bass guitar and singing in numerous praise bands to serving as organist for Westminister United Church in Regina, SK. He has always tried to make use of his gifts to bless those around him.

Beth McWhinnie - Administrative Assistant

With a background as a scientific researcher, Beth brings her nurturing spirit and passion for caring for others to her role. Her excellent organizational skills ensure that every aspect of church operations runs smoothly, from coordinating events to managing schedules.

Beth’s commitment to serving the congregation with warmth and efficiency makes her an invaluable asset to our community, fostering an atmosphere of care and support for all who walk through our doors.
